Founder of the influential journal, The
Fifties, Mr. Bly has
balanced prolific editing, translating and writing with readings,
lectures and workshops. A graduate of Harvard University, he
leapt into prominence as the definitive poet protesting the
country's involvement in the Vietnam War. Later, his landmark
book, Iron John: A Book About Men, became a national best-seller
and triggered the men's consciousness movement. Mr. Bly lives
in rural Minnesota.
