Adam J. Sorkin is a Professor of English at Penn State Delaware County. He has published eight previous translations of Romanian poetry including An Anthology of Romanian Women Poets, Transylvanian Voices: An Anthology of Contemporary Poets from Cluj-Napoca, and the prize-winning City of Dreams and Whispers: An Anthology of Contemporary Poets of Iaşi. A former Fulbright Scholar and recipient of the Rockefeller Foundation and IREX grants, Sorkin is a member of the American Literary Translators Association. With the poet Daniela Crăsnaru, he translated Sea-Level Zero which was published by BOA Editions in 1999.
