This evening we remember and honor Mirko, a talented Rochester artist and friend of BOA and its founder, A. Poulin, Jr.
Mirko created and graciously donated BOA's logo of Orpheus with his lyre. He passed away on February 8th, 2021.
Boo Poulin, BOA's Honorary Vice Chair recalls, "Mirko Pylyshenko taught printmaking in the art department at SUNY Brockport where he was joined by the very talented Robert Marx, Wendell Castle, Albert Paley, and Jack Wolsky to name a few. Mirko also held the position of chairman of the art department for 10 years and he served proudly and actively in Rochester's Ukranian community. His generous spirit and memory will live on in the BOA logo. Thank you, Mirko."
