William B. Patrick is an author who works in many genres and has three books from BOA Editions: We Didn't Come Here for This, a Memoir in Poetry (1999) These Upraised Hands (1995) and Roxa: Voices of the Culver Family (1989), which won the 1990 Great Lakes Colleges Association New Writers Award for best first work of fiction. Patrick has received grants from, the Academy of American Poets and the National Endowment for the Arts among others. He is currently a member of the faculty of Fairfield University's Master of Fine Arts Program in creative writing, and acquisitions editor at Hudson Whitman/Excelsior College Press.
