Praise for the collection

"If you aspire to pay high prices for fake food, fake songs, fake saviors, fake feelings, he is likely not your poet . . . These poems have a quality which is the artistic counterpart of the virtues one can occasionally find in a good independent auto mechanic . . . Barton Sutter has settled down with what he really cares about, what is important enough to live with."—W. D. Snodgrass, from the Foreword
